Gibraltar is a very distinctive spot of land located on the Iberian Peninsula. What makes this area so unique is its heritage. Main Street is a place where you can experience the culture of Gibraltar and see what its people are like. It's easy to spend a whole day exploring Main Street with all the amazing street entertainment, comfy cafes with delicious food, and interesting places to shop. All the shopping is duty-free also, and there is a good amount of designer stores. You may not be surprised to hear that special tours are created just to take people to Main Street for the great shopping.
Gibraltar has its own team of mascots, and they are the little Barbary apes that run around the city. You won't have to search for these monkeys, because they are literally everywhere. You can expect them to join you at a cafe, climb about your tour bus, and hop on your shoulder as you're walking by. It can be pretty strange to have a monkey approach you without any sort of fear, but it's actually really cool to see them in person.
